TEK After School Clubs

GHE PTA is partnering with Teaching Enrichment for Kids (TEK) to bring after school clubs to GHE taught by our fabulous GHE teachers. This year we anticipate having a Fall, Winter and Spring club offerings.

Each club will have 6 sessions and run on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30. The cost to participate is $160 per student. A scholarship fund has also been created to support equitable access to the clubs, so if this fee is a barrier to your student participating, please reach out to our school social worker, Bobbi Hjelmhaug. STEAM Stories- Fall Fun!

Grades K-1 Taught by Lissy Wood

Are you bonkers for good books? Then this is the club for you! Each week, Ms. Abel will share some of her favorite Fall books, teach important literacy skills and connect it all to a STEAM activity. We will read some exciting titles such as Runaway Pumpkins, and melt our homemade pumpkins, The Leaf Thief, and create a sneaky squirrel, and much more! This club will be a fun-filled way for your child to improve their reading confidence, vocabulary, creativity, and communication skills. Come see how much fun books and STEAM can be!

GAME On! Team Building and Games Galore

Grades 1-3 Taught by Abby Guza

Are you interested in learning and developing skills in a variety of team games? During this fun filled club, you will learn how to strategically work together and play some awesome games! Emphasis will be placed on skills, rules and lead-up activities for each game. Good sportsmanship and team cooperation will be required and stressed. We will play games such as Boom, Clap, Snatch, Reverse Charades, and more! Come join the ultimate game club that is always a huge hit!

3D/Fiber Art Fun!

Grades 2-5 Taught by Cristina Dochtermann

Calling all artists to come explore the world of 3D/Fiber art! In this cool, unique club students will create pieces of 3D art and fiber art such as string mache bowls, wire sculptures, yarn paintings and much more! You will be inspired by working on fun projects and walk away with some beautiful new 3D pieces of artwork. Don’t miss out on this amazing art experience!

STEM Palooza

Grades 3-5

We are heading on a STEMtastic mission where we will explore the world of science through hands-on experiences. We will investigate the science behind engineering, biology, and chemistry with cool experiments and projects. Get ready to build unique structures and delve into some exciting STEM challenges.
